	    <p>What a great time to be President of this club!&#160; While most Service Organizations have diminished in numbers, we are now up to nearly 50 members and are continuing in a growth mode.&#160; The club is diverse, consisting of professional men and women who feel together we can make a difference locally and throughout the world.&#160;</p>

<p>Recently, when putting together our plan for 2007/2008, I posed the question to our club - What attracted you to Rotary?&#160; Overwhelmingly, I heard the following responses:&#160; "Its a young club full of energy and new ideas."&#160;;&#160;&#160;"The Service Projects we participate in throughout the year make me feel like I'm helping the less fortunate."&#160;; "I enjoy making new friends and contacts who I know I can rely upon, should I need them".</p>

<p>This year's International Theme is "Rotary Shares".&#160; I look forward to sharing Rotary with both my current and prospective members.&#160; If you want to know more about New Bedford Rotary Club, call me anytime at 508-991-4503X14. I'll be happy to&#160;invite you to lunch as my guest.</p>
